Machine Hallucinations : Mars - Latent Cinema offers a visualization of celestial structures through the mind of a machine. The data painting combines past space explorations with machine-generated dreams based on dataset of over 1.5 million images of NASA's The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera. Using artificial intelligence and a generative neural network trained on real pictures of Mars, the work imagines the possibility of a universe that would provide further texture to the perception of our own.
